Ok, let’s not go that far, but foods like garlic, turmeric, tomatoes and berries have properties that can keep various kinds of cancers away. Next time you go grocery shopping, make sure you add these foods in your cart.
1. Whole grains
Whole grains contain many components that might lower your risk of cancer, including fibre and antioxidants. A study found that eating more whole grains might lower the risk of colorectal cancer, making them a top item in the category of foods to fight cancer.
2. Green tea
Not only does green tea speed up your metabolism, research has shown it’s a good cancer fighter. The green tea leaves contain bioactive compounds, including green tea antioxidants, which act on our body in multiple beneficial ways.
They contain carotenoids like beta-carotene that are known to have essential vitamins, which help in fighting cancer.
Other than fighting diabetes, grapefruits are a great source of food to fight cancer. The flavonoids in the fruit help with preventing colon cancer by suppressing the production of cancer cells.
Grapes contain a chemical called proanthocyanidins that is capable of fighting colon, prostate and breast cancer.

They may also shield you from cancer-causing chemicals, help slow the growth of tumours and encourage cancer cells to die.
