Pregnancy Calendar - Week 10
Your baby is now approximately 1.5 grams in weight and 2.5cm long with a heart rate of 160 beats per minute. Your baby's brain is also making 25,000 new neurons every minute this week!
The placenta now covers one third of the uterus lining. You may also be experiencing constipation because of an increase of progesterone in your system, released to accommodate your growing baby. Constipation is also caused by your digestive system slowing so that every last nutrient can be sent to your baby. Increase your intake of fibre and liquids to assist with constipation.
