Pregnancy Calendar - Week 39

Your Baby:
Baby's skin is changing from a red-pink colour to a blue-pink (even babies with dark skins). The placenta is still giving your baby the antibodies needed to be healthy and strong. Baby is now 48cm-51cm long and weighs around 3.2kgs.

If you suspect you're in labour head for the hospital or birthing centre! You may have a few false starts, but it's better to be safe than sorry. False labour can be just as painful as real labour, but without any dilation, and the contractions are not usually regular. You will know you're in true labour when the contractions are evenly spaced and are getting closer together, and the closer they get, the more painful the contractions.
